Rwanda the land of thousand hills is full of
surprises. Besides its beauty, clean and peaceful environment, culture and
history, Rwanda offers Africa big six which are Lion, Leopard, black Rhino,
Buffalo, Elephant and Mountain Gorillas. The big six animals were grouped by
traditional hunters who found it hard and difficult to hunt these animals.
For those who want to see the gorillas but also interested in African wildlife this trip will be all you need. You will feel like you are in a David Attenborough film at Akagera with a chance to see of all safari animals e.g. crocodiles, hippos, zebra, antelope, elephants, lions, rhino, leopards, giraffes etc. Gorilla trekking is an unforgettable experience that any tourist who visits Rwanda should engage in. Once you participate in it, it is impossible not to be touched or humbled by the magical touch of meeting face to face with these giant apes. There is also the option of a couple of museum and cultural centre visits.
Day 1:
Kigali
Airport pick up on arrival and take you to your recommended hotel.
Activities depend upon arrival time.
Day 2:
Akagera National Park
Drive to Akagera National Park: - Check
in at the hotel then go for a boat ride in the afternoon on Lake Ihema to see
crocodiles, schools of hippos and lots of beautiful birds.
Day 3:
Game drive
Game drive. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras,
giraffe, Antelopes and elephants, etc and hundreds of bird species such as the rare shoebill stork.
After the safari drive back to Kigali stay overnight at recommended hotel.
Day 4: Volcanoes National Park:
Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial in the
morning. Then drive to Musanze/Ruhengeri)
check in at the recommended hotel or Volcano View BnB then drive to Kinigi Visit
ibyiwacu cultural village.
Day 5: Volcano National Park:
Early breakfast 6:00am Then drive to visitor centre arriving at 07.00 to enjoy
the amazing gorilla trekking finish in the afternoon. refresh visit the Dian Fossey Museum. Overnight stay.
Day 6:
Return to Kigali
Drive to Kigali visit local market do shopping
for souvenirs. Have lunch or dinner at recommended restaurant. Transfer to the
airport od Hotel.
